The production house

From script to the big screen.

It all started in 2009 with Mee Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy — Mahesh Manjrekar's ambitiously written script, our first venture into production. It went on to become the highest-grossing Marathi film of its time, and a game-changer for everything that followed.

Since then, Everest has produced 23 feature films across a span of innovative, meaningful and clutter-breaking work — from Happy Journey (a fantasy between siblings) and Coffee Ani Barach Kahi (the unusual romcom that became a cult classic), to Tukaram (a state-award-winning biopic of the revered saint), Aajcha Divas Majha (winner of the National Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi), the much-loved Mumbai Pune Mumbai franchise starring Swapnil Joshi & Mukta Barve, and Amhi Doghi — a progressive adaptation of Gauri Deshpande's story.

The slate has earned 3 National Awards, 15 State Awards, and during the pandemic our little gem Picasso premiered directly on Amazon Prime and went on to earn a special mention at the 67th National Film Awards. The mission stays the same: release three to five new films a year, owned end-to-end from script through marketing.
